Get an account

1. Go to JSC website: ​http://www.fz-juelich.de/ias/jsc/EN/Expertise/Services/JSConline/ComputingTime/_node.html
2. a. For JSC members: Use "User accounts on the central IT-systems and workstation groups" under the section "Forschungszentrum Jülich Institutes' Quotas"
   2. For non JSC members: Use "User accounts on the central IT-systems and workstation groups" under the section "Guests, Staff of External Corporations"

3. Non JSC members have to follow the email verification. Please enter your full email address. You will then get an email with a link to go on with the registration.

4. Please enter your personal data and the address of your institute into the form. The hosting institute is "JSC".

5. The next step is to fill the account form (order of fields might differ for internal users):
   • Choose System: deep (DEEP Cluster)
   • [extern only] Intended Purpose: DEEP-EST
   • Personal data: no
   • Preferred Login-Name: If you already have an account on another HPC system at JSC please choose the same account name here. If not, please leave this field blank.

• Do not use a password, instead upload your public ssh key (for security reasons, please, use password protected keys only !)
• [extern only] Contact person: e.suarez
• Project/Accountingnr?: Algorithmen, Architekturen und Anwendungen
• Program-Oriented-Promotion(POF): Key Technologies
• Hit "apply" button

6. Send a signed copy of the form to the JSC dispatch via fax: +49-2461-61-2810

7. Once you got the confirmation that your account was created you can login to deep.fz-juelich.de
