Get an account

1. Go to JSC website: ​http://www.fz-juelich.de/ias/jsc/EN/Expertise/Services/JSConline/ComputingTime/_node.html
2. Choose your relevant section (see a), b)) and follow link "User accounts on the central IT-systems and workstation groups"
   1. JSC members: use link in section "Forschungszentrum Jülich Institutes' Quotas"
   2. non JSC members: use link in section "Guests, Staff of External Corporations" and follow the email verification steps, where you have to fill an additional form with personal data.
3. Fill account form (order of fields might differ for internal and external users):
   • Choose System: deep (DEEP Cluster)
   • [extern only] Intended Purpose: DEEP Project
   • Personal data: no
   • Project/Accountingnr?: Algorithmen, Architekturen und Anwendungen
   • Program-Oriented-Promotion(POF): Key Technologies
   • Choose your preferred login name
     Hint: If you already have an account on another HPC system at JSC (e.g. juropa, judge…) please choose the same account name for the DEEP cluster. This will allow for sharing your home data among the systems.
   • Do not use a password, instead upload your public ssh key (for security reasons, please, use password protected keys only !)

   • Hit "apply" button
4. Send a signed copy of the form to the JSC dispatch via fax: +49-2461-61-2810
5. Once you got the confirmation that your account was created you can login to deep.fz-juelich.de
